Altar Fly Fishing Ministries hosted it’s first ever men’s fly fishing retreat near Viroqua, WI, last weekend and it was a smashing success! Many men, young and not-so-young connected with God, each other and the great outdoors through our sport. Combining instruction, devotion, quiet time with guided time on the water, our weekend was well invested. Gourmet food from Jo and Michelle Randall ensured nobody went hungry. Expert banjo music from Dave with Matt on the guitar kept us entertained well into the night.

Dave Blackburn flew in from Montana, donating his guide expertise, instruction and musical talents. John Doss from Phoenix added his teaching skills, as well. Evan Randall guided his group to fish and Tom Starmack provided flies, fly tying and guiding services to round out our instructional staff.

Pastor Eric Camfield provided the excellent spiritual material and content. Each person returned home refreshed and with a simple plan in place for more intentional living in their daily lives.
